Zaragoza Bocata Fest
The sandwich festival has arrived in Zaragoza and also in our brewpub. For this reason, from September 15 to 25, we will be one of the 66 restaurants and bars that will participate with their gastronomic creations in the first Zaragoza Bocata Fest.
Our proposal: the best pastrami in the city.
When the celebration of this festival was announced, we did not hesitate for a moment: pastrami. One of the dishes that is never missing from the from the menu of our brewpub, which we have recently just updated, and which has become a true classic in our kitchen, with many fans among our regular customers and in Zaragoza in general. Available from Tuesday to Sunday, for lunch or dinner, within the street food menu.
Pastrami is a cut of beef, specifically brisket, that is cured in brine for a week, dried, seasoned, and then smoked. Although its origin is somewhat diffuse, it is a very popular snack in the United States, appreciated for its juiciness and intense flavor. It is believed that it came to North America through immigrants from Romania and Bessarabia in the 19th century, due to its similarity to the Romanian word pastrama (from the verb to conserve) and this in turn from the Turkish bastirma (to press the meat).
The success of our pastrami sandwich lies in the high quality product we use and its homemade preparation. Only top quality beef, brined by our kitchen team and smoked in our own oven. We serve it in crystal bread, with edam cheese, homemade pickled cucumber and old-fashioned mustard. A real success for lunch or dinner any day of the week in our brewpub, accompanied by our homemade French fries and, of course, one of our zero kilometer craft beers.
